Amerika’dan İstanbul’a Bir Balayı Çekimi ( Shooting a Honeymoon Photography to Istanbul from America )

Ryan ve Krystle Amerika‘da yaşayan ama balayı için Türkiye‘yi tercih eden çiftlerden. Amerika’da bulunan arkadaşım tavsiyesi üzerine benimle iletişime geçtiler, ben de  güzel bir yaz gününde İstanbul’un tarihi yarımadasında bu samimi çifti fotoğrafladım. Ryan ve Krystle hiç Türkçe bilmiyorlar, benim de İngilizce’ye ana dilim gibi hakim olduğum söylenemez ama üç dört dakika sonra iletişim konusundaki sorunu aştık. Ama bu süreçte hem ilk defa yabancı bir çifti çekiyor olmamdan hem de İngilizce’de konuşma pratiğim sıfır olduğu için heyecanlanmadım değil. : )

Bir rehber edasıyla İstanbul’un en güzel yerlerini gezdirdim hem de fotoğraf çektim. Ryan ve Krystle konaklama için Sultanahmet‘i tercih etmişler fotoğraf çekimini de bu güzergahta yapalım dedim hem fikir olduk ve çekime başladık.

Hello Everyone,

Ryan and Krystle are one of these couples who lives in the States but prefers Turkiye for their honeymoon. After my friend who was then in the States recommended me to them, for me it was only a pleasure to take their shots on this very historical island of Istanbul on a beautiful summer day. Ryan and Krystle knows not even a word of Turkish Language.

 

Although I must as well admit that I am not fluent or very good at speaking their language, English, we happened to strike a balance on communication just after a few minutes. However it is not that I haven’t felt any excitement not just because this was my first professional experience with foreigners but also I have had no practice of speaking in English. :)

I both walked them around the best points in Istanbul as if I was their quide and meanwhile took their photos as well. My couple had already arranged Sultanahmet as their accomodation so I have planned to take shots at the same environs while it was a back up idea on where to start the shooting. Therefore we gave our start.

Çift o kadar uyumlu ki ben sadece vücut dilimi kullanarak yönlendirmede bulundum gerisi geldi. Oh mis, hayatımın en rahat çekimini yaptım diyebilirim. Bizim insanımızda özellikle erkeklerde fotoğraf fobisi var, kimse çekilmeyi sevmiyor. Çektiğim çiftler de çoğu gelin istediği için fotoğraf çekimini yapıyor gibi bir durum var. Ama albümü alıp da sonucu görünce iyi ki çekilmişiz diyorlar. Ama ilk fotoğraf çekilme sürecinde erkekler off bitse de gitsek modundalar. Ryan’da bu durumu hiç hissetmedim. Bunu da belirtmeden geçemeyeceğim.

My couple was such a best match that the process flied by even though I  only used my body language to lead them. Ah, felt great. Let me say that this was the easiest shooting I’ve ever experienced in my life. In my country people especially the men have a phobia of photography, I mean it is like there is noone around who likes having their photos taken. Also here it is like they have this very speacial wedding day shooting not because they both wish it but only because the bride wants it. However they afterwards tell me that they were never regretted to not to have stood against it. But as you guess here, they are usually in a mood that anyone can see in their eyes they wish to get rid off that shooting thing asap. I can’t help saying here that I have never felt the same with Ryan.

Sultanahmet Camii tarihi dokusu itibariyle fotoğraf çekimi için ideal bir ortam sunuyor. Ayrıca üzerimizde kocaman bir gelinlik olmadığı için çok rahatça çekim yapabiliyoruz. İstanbul’da çoğu yer gelinlik ile girildiğinde artık ücret alıyor. Ama normal kıyafetle girip çekim yapabiliyoruz, sınırlama yok. Bu durum saçma ama İstanbul gibi kalabalık bir şehirde insanlar çok talep olduğu için ücretlendirme yapıyoruz diyorlar. Onlar da haklılar. İstanbul çok kalabalık hakikaten. Öffff!

Nerede kalmıştık, evet detaylar müthiş, doku müthiş, hazirandayız ama kavurucu sıcaklar gelmemiş henüz. Rahat rahat çekime devam ediyoruz, gerçi çekim modunda değiliz şu an turist modunda geziyoruz. Devam ;

Sultanahmet Mosque is serving best for our shooting in terms of it historical side. Besides we have the great relief of having a real easy shooting as we did not have a huge wedding gown. Here, in Istanbul anywhere you take a step in with your gown charges you anymore. But wee can get in with a casual dress and take photos, no limit on that. I know that sounds weird but they claim they charge you because the demand is huge in that kind of a crowded city, Istanbul. Let me give their credit on the issue. Istanbul is unbelievably crowded. Öfffff!

What were we talking about? Okay, details are awesome, the texture is awesome, we are in june but no broiling hot has arrived yet so we keep on our shooting. As a matter of fact we are not like shooting more like sightseeing just like tourists. Carry on;

Tesadüf odur ki, meydanda eskiden İstanbul’da kulllanılan otobüslerden bir tane koymuşlar sergilemek için. Fotoğraf çekmek tabii ki serbest, gelin damat değiliz biz, gelin damat çekimi olsa yandık, yassaaaak kardeş :)

What a coincidence we came across one of the busses they put in the middle of the square to exhibit which would be used earlier on Istanbul streets. No doubt that it was free to take photos since we were not bride and groom, if we were one it would be really unfortunate, it is forbidden my friend :)

Continue to roam the colorful streets.

O kadar İstanbul’a gelmişler vapura binmeden olmaz. Simit de almamız lazım. Tam fotoğraflık ortam oluşacak gibi sanki.

Coming that far to Istanbul no way leaving it without getting on the ferry. We need to have a “simit” too which is let me explain you like a croissant to French or a doughnut or hotdog for a U.S.A citizen.

Çekim bitti otele geçip terasta bir şeyler yiyeceğiz, manzara müthiş yemeğimize ortak olmak isteyen kargamız bile var daha ne olsun!

The shooting is over by now. We are heading to the hotel and will have something to eat. the view is incredible. we have even a crow who would like to join us on that, what can we need more!

Şu makineyi aldığım çok iyi oldu yahu. Sadece şu altı fotoğrafı versem bile yeter diyeceklerdi o kadar sevdiler. : )

I bought this machine, was so good, man. Only six pictures and I would even say that they loved enough.

Veda vakti, giderayak motorumla da çekebilirim isterseniz Ryan dedim, son pozu da böyle aldık. Sonra ben hemen eve gittim, sabaha Amerika’ya dönüyorlardı hemen çektiğim tüm fotoğrafları DVD’ye yazdım, güzelce paketledim getirdim. İlk deneyimimdi ama gayet keyif aldım. It is time to farewell, I offered Ryan to take their photos on my motorbike too before they leave thus we finalised our shooting. Then I quickly went back home. My couple was going back to their homeland in the morning so I copied all the shots on a DVD, packed it nicely and delivered it to them. This was my first experience but I enjoyed it a lot. Wish to meet more couples and submit my contact info below for the new couples who plan to visit Turkey for their honeymoon. :) Thank you!
